About James

I was raised in the country with three brothers. Through my growing-up years, we romped through the woods and fields and had our share of scrapes and bruises. When needed, we were treated through Christian Science prayer and had quick healings. So from a youngster, I’ve seen the dependability of prayer in the prevention as well as the cure of illnesses and injuries.

I graduated from college with a B.S. in Agronomy, got married, and spent several years on the family farm before realizing that serving as a Christian Science healer was the best way I could serve others. So I left the family farm and took up healing full-time. That was about 30 years ago. To read further about how I got from farming to Christian Science healing, click here.

In addition to my healing ministry, I’ve enjoyed helping raise our family of four children— who are all now grown and living on their own. I live on my own now, too, and when I’m not tending to my healing ministry, I spend time outdoors on the family ranch property. I also like hiking, mountain climbing, and snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding.

But nothing gives me greater joy than to be able to pray for others— to feel God’s love for them— and to see lives (including my own!) being transformed.
